Learn a framework for personal career branding
What?
This webinar introduces the framework SOAR for personal career branding. SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) makes it easier for us to advocate for ourselves because it takes the focus off of 'me' and instead has us think about how our strengths and values-based action contribute to others.
Personal Career branding is how we communicate the value we contribute. Join this webinar to learn a framework to support the creation of your strategic and authentic career brand. We often engage in and compete in complex environments where establishing ourselves quickly is essential. Typically, there are two major hurdles we encounter when attempting to brand ourselves:
- Knowing how to ‘sell one’s self,’ which makes many people uncomfortable.
- Fear of pigeon holing oneself so narrowly that we get excluded from opportunities
Why?
While we may want to say, “Just give me a chance – I can do it!” it’s not the best way to break away from the competition.
Originally, Jackie Stavros PhD and Gina Hinrichs PhD developed the strength-based framework, SOAR, with strategic planning in mind. SOAR, at its core, directs us toward a strategic position where we can stand apart, achieve success, and sets us up to make a greater impact, while not attempting to be everything to everyone.
We are being perceived whether we’re conscious or unconscious of it. The SOAR process helps us gain self-knowledge in a positive, evolving, energy-creating brand we feel ownership and confidence expressing publicly – specifically on Linkedin.com.

- Understand Personal Career Branding and the importance of investing in creating one
