Build and lead a Learning and Professional Development (LPD) portfolio of programs that equips our membership with the critical skills and competencies that enable them to support change in their community and their workplace.
Contribute to Board strategic planning/execution by providing an annual Learning and Professional Development Portfolio Plan inclusive of a 12-month rolling calendar of LPD events.
Deliver periodic progress reports (including reports required for the Annual General Meeting (AGM)) and regular status updates as required by Chapter operational protocols that includes qualitative and quantitative feedback from event attendees.
Collaborate with Director of Operations, Director of Strategic Relationships, Membership Director, and MarCom Directors to ensure all Chapter events are coordinated.
For LPD events:
Collaborate with the Director of Operations to plan and execute in-person events.
Coordinate the search for speakers/presenters and oversee selections based on membership needs and interests and Chapter goals; manage speaker commitments prior to events.
Champion all LPD standards, processes and procedures and actively seek opportunities to improve and refine for efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage, train, delegate, and share information with LPD portfolio committee volunteers to ensure a positive volunteer experience, smooth portfolio operation, and succession planning.
Liaise with Board members and partners as needed to define events and to seek out innovative ideas.
Actively participate in the ACMP Midwest Chapter Community on ACMP Connect by contributing content monthly (i.e., new posts and/or responses, posts regarding learning and professional development events, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned from time to time to serve Chapter members and further the work of the Board.

The Director of Learning and Professional Development (LPD) is a voting member of the Board
The Director of LPD fulfills a back‐up role for the Director of Operations as needed.
May act as or direct/support a Committee Chair
Key skills needed to successfully serve in this position include:
Served in previous leadership learning and professional development roles, and has a background in learning and development, OD, and enterprise-wide program development.
